Since the Disney movie “Up” is one of my favorite movies, I have shown some interest in flightless birds. For my research I chose the extinct dodo but there were just a small number of illustrations of the bird so I decided to do my own.

For the colors I made two versions. I wanted to have a good contrast between warm and cold colors so I used for one version a deep red and a warm yellow and for the other I chose a petrol blue and a rich green.

For the typography details I also combined two very different styles. For the more legible font I chose a straight font without serifs and the second font was created organically around the body of the dodo.
